Portland Named Top Green City in the US

For those of us living in Southwest, Washington, the fact that Portland, Oregon is a hop, skip and a jump away, is a serious perk.  This month, Portland is being recognized nationally, as Travel + Leisure magazine has named Portland, Oregon as the Greenest City in America

Did you know that Portland is a quarter covered by trees, or that there are 288 parks in the city?  The mass transit system, as well as the cycling culture are a couple other reasons why Portland ranks number one on the list.

Suddenly, the rain doesn't seem so bad, right?

We've moved out of the northwest area, and yes, yes, yes, we do miss the beauty of it. I always tell people that yes, it does rain alot, but we had heat waves, too!
